This policy explains how Newgale Limited ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit this website, join our email list, or purchase Dr Alex George's brand course and community. We are the data controller for this information.

Who we are

Newgale Limited is the company through which Dr Alex George runs his business. It is registered in England and Wales (company number 13380292). Our registered office is C/O Principle Accounting Limited, Ribble Court, 1 Mead Way, Shuttleworth Mead Business Park, Padiham, Lancashire, BB12 7NG.

The information we collect

• When you join our email list: your name, email address, and any information you share when you reply to our emails or answer our questions.
• When you buy the course: your name, email address and billing details. Payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe); we never see or store your full card details.
• When you use the course and community: your account details and activity on our course platform (currently Circle), such as which lessons you access and posts you make in the community.
• When you visit this website: technical and usage information collected through cookies, such as your device type, pages viewed and how you found us. This only happens if you consent to analytics or advertising cookies (see Cookies below).
• When you contact us: your correspondence and contact details.

How we use your information

We use your data to:

• Provide the course and community you have purchased, and manage your account and payments (necessary to perform our contract with you).
• Send you emails about the course, including updates, useful content and offers, where you have signed up to hear from us (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• Respond to your questions and provide support (legitimate interests).
• Understand how people use our website and improve it, using analytics (consent, via cookies).
• Show relevant advertising to people who have visited our site or joined our list, and measure how our advertising performs (consent, via cookies, and legitimate interests for audience matching as described below).
• Keep records we are legally required to keep, such as tax and accounting records (legal obligation).

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on this website. Essential cookies make the site work. With your consent, we also use:

• Analytics cookies (currently Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site.
• Advertising cookies (currently the Meta Pixel) to measure our advertising and show relevant ads to people who have visited this site.

Advertising audiences

We may share email addresses from our mailing list with advertising platforms (currently Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram) in a protected (hashed) format, so that we can show relevant ads to people who have already shown interest in the course, or to reach similar audiences. These platforms cannot use this data for their own purposes. If you would prefer we did not use your email address this way, contact us at dralex@dralexgeorge.co.uk or unsubscribe from our emails.

Who we share your data with

We use trusted service providers to run our business. They only process your data on our instructions and for the purposes set out in this policy. They fall into these categories:

• Payment processing (currently Stripe)
• Email marketing (currently Kit)
• Course and community hosting (currently Circle)
• Website analytics (currently Google)
• Advertising (currently Meta)
• Tools that connect and support our systems (currently Zapier)

We may change providers or add new ones within these categories from time to time; any provider we use is bound by the same rules. You can ask us for the current list at any time. We may also share data where the law requires it, or with professional advisers. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only as long as we need it. Broadly: mailing list data for as long as you remain subscribed; customer and course access data for as long as you have access to the course, plus a reasonable period afterwards; and purchase records for six years as required for tax purposes. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record so we know not to email you again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
